This is my webpage, where I publish random posts about things that interest me, mostly about Xfce, Debian and free software in general.

My name is Ali Abdallah, I come from Lebanon, currently living in the wonderful capital of Italy, Roma.

I’m mathematician and computer scientist. I work as post-doc researcher at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

I originally come from a small village in south Lebanon called Adchit, but I lived mostly in Beirut, where I studied mathematics at the Lebanese University, before moving to Geneva, where I worked at CERN as software developer and continued my studies in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Geneva.

I pursued my PhD in Mathematics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, after receiving a Marie-Curie fellowship that sent me from Geneva to Rome.

I’m free software enthusiast (free from freedom), active Xfce developer. My main hobbies are, football, reading and languages (human ones, not just programming languages).
